How the desk figures it
Gratuity is always calculated on the pre-tax base fare, which is the industry norm — the chauffeur’s service is the fare, not the tolls the company passes through. Airport runs carry a dollar floor so a short, early pickup is never under-tipped. If you mark gratuity as already on your invoice, the calculator treats that as the tip and suggests only a discretionary cash handshake for exceptional service.
